Frequently Asked Coaching Questions
Everything you need to know before getting started — no question is too small.
-
01What is trauma-informed life coaching?
Trauma-informed life coaching recognises how past experiences can affect your life today. Sessions focus on safety, trust, and choice. You are always in control.
-
02Who is coaching for?
Coaching is for adults who have experienced trauma, including domestic abuse, emotional harm, long-term stress, or difficult life experiences. You do not need a diagnosis.
-
03Do I need to talk about my trauma?
No. You never have to share details you are not comfortable with. Coaching can focus on the present and what feels manageable for you.
-
04Is life coaching the same as therapy?
No. Life coaching is not therapy. It focuses on the present and future and can support you alongside therapy if you are receiving it.
-
05What happens in a coaching session?
Sessions are calm and led by you. We may explore current challenges, coping tools, boundaries, and gentle steps forward. There is no pressure to change quickly.
-
06Are sessions online?
Yes. All sessions are online, either via phone or video call, so you can access support from a place where you feel safe.
-
07How long is each session?
Sessions usually last around 60 minutes, unless agreed otherwise.
-
08How many sessions will I need?
There is no set number. Some people choose one session, while others prefer ongoing support through a package.
-
09Is coaching confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is confidential, unless there is a serious risk of harm and safeguarding action is needed.
-
10What if I am nervous about starting?
Feeling nervous is very common. We will take things at your pace, and you can ask questions at any time.
Still have questions?
I’m always happy to chat before you commit to anything. No pressure, no expectations.
